Buster Brown 2A

The Buster Brown No. 2A camera was made by the Ansco Company of Binghamton, New YorkThe 2A model takes 6 exposures of 2.25" x 3.25" and is marked inside of box, "Patented June 23 1903 Sept. 20 1910" This camera was made as a competeing model to the popular Kodak "Brownie" cameras.

 


Buster Brown, the comic strip, first appeared in color in 1902. Buster and his dog, Tige, remained a popular comic and soon became even more famous as the emblem for a shoe company, a textile firm, and other companies. The strip was discontinued in 1920.
